The Mind/Body Connection

“The simple truth is, happy people generally don’t get sick. One’s attitude toward oneself is the single most important factor in healing or staying well.”

Health and Wellness provides a greater understanding and respect for the connection between mind and body — between our thoughts and our health. Managing stress, by changing toxic beliefs, can have a dramatic effect on our psychological and physical health. Participants gain an understanding about key beliefs that are associated with increasing the immune system’s capability to produce wellness. Put another way, PER-K® belief change processes teach participants how to develop an “immune-competent” personality. More wellness means greater productivity, less absenteeism and reduced utilization of the health care system. Lower demand on the health care system means lower health care costs for the company and its employees. Reduced absenteeism means more productivity and a greater contribution to the bottom line, for the company, the individual, and the planet.  Explore the amazing mind/body connection, and enjoy the benefits of improved health, happiness and performance for yourself and your employees.

THE KINDS OF BELIEFS THAT ARE IDENTIFIED AND CHANGED
Individuals are able to tap their full potential for increasing personal and professional effectiveness by changing self-limiting beliefs into Beliefs for Success.

Self-Limiting Beliefs
Beliefs for Success
“What I think has nothing to do with getting sick or staying healthy.” “I recognize the power of my thoughts and their effect on my body.”
“I usually notice what’s wrong with things before I notice what’s right.” “I naturally focus my attention on positive and uplifting things in my life.”
“Life is nearly always stressful. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.” “I am centered and energized by the challenges in my life.”
“I keep my feelings to myself because it’s not alright to express them at work.” “I am comfortable expressing my feelings openly and honestly.”
“I just don’t have the time to exercise or eat right, but my body can handle it.”
“I naturally choose foods and activities that support my health and wellbeing.”

These are just a few examples of the beliefs that affect health and wellness. Participants receive additional example belief statements associated with this topic and learn how to write their own empowering beliefs. Detailed handouts are included to reduce the need for note taking and to enhance the individual’s ability to concentrate on the experience of aligning subconscious beliefs with conscious goals for sustainable success.
